# 2026 Art Intent > The work takes its shape from the work. > Show up. Let it lead. --- ## What’s next? Working on my own Pinterest style boards with Eagle app, to get inspiration and coherence in my work going forwards. Keep pushing and developing my akua ink style. ## Recent observations (June W24–W25) The practice is waking up. Four sessions in two weeks, still in the Ho (exploration) phase, beginning to feel the work find its own direction. The akua ink monoprint is pulling — specifically the water effects and scratchy marks. The work is moving away from AI references toward the material's own language: dark washes, bare paper, scraped texture. A clear style is emerging, not being decided. Key insight from June 18: separate digital painting (imagination, pretty landscapes) from physical work (process, mark-making, map-inspired abstraction). They're different modes and conflating them creates friction. ## What this year is about Not outcomes. Not finished pieces. Not milestones. **Showing up** — regularly, quietly, with enough protected time that the work can actually breathe. **Building a home for the work** — the website (Obsidian Publish) developed steadily so it's ready when the work is ready to be seen. **Letting the activist strand grow alongside** — unhurried, collaborative, complementary. Not the main event, but real. --- ## The two strands **Fine Art** — personal, process-led. Oil and ink. Ecological grief, landscape, mark-making. Posters, leaflets, print. Shift some Saturday time toward the website — curating, publishing, building. Begin thinking about what work deserves to be seen. **Q4 (October–December):** Quieter months. Review what the work became.
