It is profoundly incoherent and cowardly for "green" NGOs (especially Greenpeace) to call for the carbon parties to address "the climate crisis" in this election campaign. This is 2024 not 2004. The elite-controlled project of putting more carbon into the atmosphere at the present moment is not an "issue", a "topic", or a "cause". It is the systematic destruction of our states and societies as made clear by the world's experts. Former Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK, Sir David King: "On our current path, civilisation as we know it will disappear. If we meet current commitments only - net zero by 2050 - perhaps some form of humanity will survive" UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell: "We have 2 years to Save the World" - Lead Climate Scientist, James Hansen: "Only a revolution led by the young will effectively change the political system." This is not being melodramatic. Economies will be decimated. Billions will die. A number of NGOs have written to the TV networks to ask them for election debate to discuss climate. They say "climate solutions can bring down bills, bring up the quality of life and bring the country together - so let's have a conversation about it." This is a blatant lie. The main scenario is that Atlantic Current Collapse (AMOC) and/or other tipping points will destroy the ability to grow food in the UK and there will be mass migration from these islands. The "solution" is not another fucking "conversation". This is the greatest emergency in human history. It requires a revolution which leads to the following: - The prosecution of those who stood by and allowed the destruction of our country to take place - A decision that we can no longer afford the rich/elites so we must redirect their wealth to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable - A massive emergency reduction in emissions - A massive investment in earth repair/ geoengineering. There is ZERO point asking the carbon mafia parties to debate this. People should be asked to vote for - Radical independents - Alternative governmental institutions such as a citizen's assembly based House of the People We must prepare mass nonviolent civil resistance to remove the regime from power as ecological/social shocks hit us with ever greater frequency.
